Installation Guide

ARQE has been designed for seamless integration into existing System 55 installations.

This guide will walk you through the installation of the base plate, toggle, and frame.

Before you begin

What you'll need:

Small Phillips screwdriver

All delivered ARQE components

Optional: Switch off circuit breaker

Safety Notice

Before working on electrical installations, the corresponding fuse should be switched off.

Installation is at your own risk. In case of doubt, we recommend installation by a qualified electrician.

Step 1

Remove existing frame

For light switches:

  1. Carefully detach the existing rocker from the switch insert.
  2. Then remove the existing frame.
  3. The switch is now prepared. Basis for mounting.

For wall sockets:

  1. Loosen the central screw of the socket and remove the socket insert
  2. Then remove the existing frame.
  3. The socket is now prepared. Basis for assembly.

Step 2

Mounting the ARQE Base Plate

1. Aligning the Base Plate

  • The ARQE base plate is positioned on the existing metal frame.
  • The slotted holes of the base plate must align with the slotted holes of the existing metal frame.

2. Screwing on the Base Plate

The supplied screws are screwed through the slotted holes of the base plate and the metal frame into the existing thread of the flush-mounted box.

Depending on the installation, the fastening is done:

  • top and bottom
    or
  • right and left

into the flush-mounted box

Step 3

Mount ARQE toggle

For Switches / Blinds

  1. Position the appropriate template ("Switch Locator") with the recess on the existing rocker cover.
  2. Then remove the protective film from the back of the toggle.
  3. Guide the toggle through the template and secure it centrally on the rocker cover.
  4. Remove the Switch Locator. The toggle remains precisely positioned on the rocker.

Mount power outlet

  • Replace the socket cover and screw it in the middle.
